About Me
I learned to fly in the USAF in 1969 at Reese AFB, TX. I flew AC-119G Shadow Gunships in Vietnam 1970-71, then the C-141A Starlifter at Travis AFB, CA 71-79. I flew for over 29 years at Continental Airlines retiring as a B777 Check Captain in March 2006. I have over 30,000 hrs total time with over 2000 hours in Beechcraft Bonanzas. I live with my wife, Sandy on a lake in Amery, WI. My 1969 V35B Bonanza is based at KAHH, Amery Municipal Airport.
My Panel (Before and After)
Garmin 340 Audio Panel, MX20 MFD, CNX-80 WAAS GPS, GTX33 remote transponder, JPI 700 with Fuel Flow, Century 2000 Autopilot, Horizon TACH, Garmin 396. The Aspen Evolution 1000 Pro and ATX100G ADS-B transciever + GPS is being installed July 2015. New panel images below after test flight. En-route home with a new EFD! I flew the B777 for 9 years all over the world and this is a comprible display. Excellent information in a nice tight cross Check!
My Aspen Experience
I upgraded my panel in 2004 to an MX20 MFD, CNX80 WAAS GPS,GTX33 remote transponder, Garmin 340 Audio Panel, and Horizon Electric TACH, and a JPI 700 with fuel flow. In July 2015 R.C. Avionics installed an Aspen Evolution 1000 Pro and ATX100G ADS-B Transceiver + GPS. This is coupled to a Century 2000 Autopilot. This will enhance my IFR experience with better situational awareness, weather, and traffic in N3952A. I am looking forward to flying with the Aspen Evolution 1000 Pro.
