Classic Cherokee Takes Flight Again-Aspen Avionics Highlights Rebuild Rescue Raffle at AirVenture
Proceeds to Benefit Rebuild Rescue Foundation Charities
EAA AirVenture, Oshkosh, WI – July 22, 2025 – Aspen Avionics is proud to partner with Rebuild Rescue to showcase a fully restored 1961 Piper Cherokee PA-28-160 for raffle at EAA AirVenture 2025. This classic aircraft has undergone a complete refurbishment and now features a state-of-the-art avionics panel, equipped with Aspen’s Evolution 2000 MAX suite, including advanced capabilities such as Synthetic Vision, Angle of Attack indicator, and ADS-B in/out capabilities.
In addition to the state-of-the-art avionics, the aircraft boasts a new engine, propeller, interior, and all accessories—making it a true showpiece of general aviation restoration.

The Foundation’s three flagship programs include:
- Guardian Wings – Providing free medical flights to patients and families in need
- Honor Missions – Transporting veterans and first responders for medical appointments and memorial services
- Fly-Fur Rescue – Airlifting at-risk animals to safety and new homes
Raffle tickets are available for $100 and can be purchased from Rebuild Rescue or online at rafflecreator.com. All proceeds go directly to support the Rebuild Rescue Foundation’s charitable initiatives, which leverage aviation to serve those in critical need.
