Dan O’Donnell Takes the Helm at Aspen Avionics, an AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. Company as Senior Vice President and General Manager
The aviation industry veteran replaces John Uczekaj, who will be leading AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: AIRO) as Chief Operating Officer (COO)
EAA AirVenture, Oshkosh, WI, July 22, 2025 – Aspen Avionics is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel “Dan” O’Donnell as SVP & GM. Dan, who has served on Aspen's Board of Directors since 2018, will be succeeding John Uczekaj, who continues in the role of Chief Operating Officer and President of AIRO Group Holdings, Inc. (“AIRO”), Aspen Avionics’ parent company.
Dan brings over 25 years of industry experience in avionics, operations, technology, and safety, with a focus on continuous process improvement across nearly all aviation market segments. His leadership will guide Aspen Avionics toward new growth opportunities, leveraging AIRO's broad spectrum of products and services to introduce innovative solutions for General Aviation as well as the rapidly expanding drone and eVTOL aerospace sectors.
Prior to joining Aspen Avionics, Dan has been an aviation industry consultant working with private equity, airlines, and Original Equipment Manufacturers as well as flying an Embraer Phenom 300 jet. He was previously the Director of Fleet Strategy and Aircraft Programs at JetBlue, where he developed aircraft specifications and managed fleet operations. He also served as Vice President of Business Development at L3Harris Technologies, where he directed strategic growth initiatives for commercial and military aviation platforms. Additionally, Dan spent 15 years with United Airlines and was the Director of Flight Operations Technology.

Dan O’Donnell holds a master’s degree in business and a bachelor’s degree in aviation management. He is a Certified Quality Auditor with ISO 9001 lead auditor accreditation. Additionally, Dan is an active pilot with FAA privileges for small UAS, and holds certifications as a Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, and Jet Type Ratings.
